A true legend in looks and performance!

A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions during the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966.

The Superformance GT40R is built to exacting standards – in fact over two thirds of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with that of an original car, including the ‘monocoque” style chassis. The Superformance GT40R is accepted for SVRA and HSR, and can be configured for FIA HTP international vintage racing.

The GT40R closely resembles the GT40 MKI with extra performance enhancements as well as weight reduction. For example, a few GT40R options are a 4 point roll bar, adjustable rear spoiler, larger Wilwood race brakes, emergency power shut off, and race sway bars.

The only departure is the use of electro-galvanized sheet steel in the construction. The chassis, at over 12,000 pounds per degree is stiffer than any other chassis on the market, and is made up of over 244 laser cut and bent or pressed parts.

The suspension features the original race car layout. So original are the GT40 continuation models that two thirds of the parts are interchangeable with an original. Bilstein shocks are supplied along with H&R springs.

Pressed steel roof and beautifully finished body.

The recommended power source is a specially prepared Roush engine with the new RBT/ZF style 5-speed transaxle, but owners also have the option to fit a Ford-based 289, 302, or 351W small block.
